Maintenance Mechanic II

Job Summary Maintenance Mechanic II will learn to troubleshoot, correctly define root cause, and implement corrective actions safely on a variety of machine systems. This includes, but is not limited to: hydraulics, pneumatics, alternating and direct current, programmable logic controllers, robots, discrete control systems, servo systems, pump systems, safety circuits, and complex process systems. Essential Functions Acquire the knowledge to demonstrate proficiency in the following skills: perform simple to complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic trouble‑shooting, and diagnose with precision on a variety of precision equipment safely, following company, state, and federal safety rules and regulations. Learn basic machine operation for a variety of machinery to assist in troubleshooting without an operator. Troubleshoot, repair, service, install/uninstall, move, and level a variety of production machinery. Perform equipment using programmable controls. Efficiently utilize MicroSoft Office tools as well as accurate entry of work data into the Maintenance Management System for reporting and trending data. Accurately utilize all types of precision measuring and testing equipment with a commitment to safety and imagery. Operate various material handling equipment (i.e., forklifts, jackstraps, conveyors, gantry, scissor, lift). Safely and effectively utilize various hand tools, machine‑involved equipment, and tooling. Demonstrate a safety and efficient work ethic and follow procedures to prevent, or meet necessary maintenance duties as required. Execute preventative and predictive maintenance for production equipment. Demonstrate ownership of safety, quality, and materials to maintain alignment with equipment integrity. Perform engineering concepts, basic math, and procedural documentation for maintenance activities. Work under supervision or independently in a team environment, assisting other co‑workers to ensure equipment is ready to meet production schedules. Assist in the selection, installation, commissioning, and disposal of shop tooling, pumps, pipe, and related machining. Enable careful use of hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, torque tools, and specialized equipment. Conduct calibration of industrial instruments. Install, service, and maintain Pneumatic, Hydraulic, PLC programming, sensors, and motor systems for a wide range of technologies. Accurately use all process equipment and monitoring functions. Multitask and prioritize work related to engineering procedure documentation, reporting, or investigation. Interact with other functional areas such as, Safety Engineering, Process Engineering, Supply Chain, or Maintenance Management. Present updates on values or improvements and work with other resources and data available to enable or grow processes accordingly. Conduct equipment maintenance as needed for complex plant system processes. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or equivalent with learning-based training or certification in machine maintenance or a related field. 1–2 years of experience in a related field. Essential Physical Requirements Exposed to sounds or noises said to be flexible when required. Use of hand tools and power tools for equipment, processing material. Ability to operate weights or load in core security of competencies. Endurance after an erratic outfitational and more or inner loop works. Practice of organization and teamwork.
