Position Commercial Loan Administrator Location Des Moines, IA Job ID 4688 Openings 1 Pay Range $18.00 - $30.64 per hour Overview At First Mid, base salary is one component of our Total Rewards program. This position offers additional compensation in the form of discretionary short-term incentives (i.e. bonus, incentives, and/or commission). Responsible for providing administrative support to loan officers. Responsible for performing general record keeping and clerical functions. Function as the receptionist for the lending area by responding to customer inquiries in a courteous and professional manner. Responsibilities Assists loan officers by preparing various documents such as sending notices, preparing past due correspondence, printing reports and ordering appraisals as needed. Assist loan officers with a variety of collateral and loan types Receives loan payments and loan information from customers, assists customers with questions, providing information about bank services, confirming loan balances, provides loan payoffs, answers credit inquiries on loan customers, and makes loan advances upon request. Maintains customer's credit file in an orderly and accurate manner while in their possession. Forwards new loans and updated documentation to Loan Servicing Departments for permanent storage and destruction. Prepare and mail signed denials to borrower and forwards original to Central Loan Processing. Works closely with Loan Servicing and Credit Administration to clear branch exceptions on insurance, UCCs, financial statement, etc. Prints all closing documents and prepare tickets for loan officer. Responsible for placing and/or removing items from Dual Control as needed. Main receptionist for the lending area. Answers phone calls, greet customers and prospective customers and directs to appropriate personnel. Liaison between Mortgage center staff, Loan Processing and Loan Officer. Actively cross-sells bank related products in a professional manner and processes customers transactions as needed. Completed required training associated with job function. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education / Experience High school diploma. 2-year degree preferred. Skills Excellent computer skills. Excellent knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet functions. Thorough understanding of loans, loan system and Premier system. Must be able to work with a significant amount of detailed information in an accurate, timely and confidential manner. High level of interpersonal skills to interact with customers and potential customers in a professional manner. Ability to multi-task between officers and support staff. High working knowledge of both internal policies and procedures and the respective state and federal laws and regulations governing departmental functions to ensure performance of individual job duties within the proper control environment.
