Firm: Real Estate PE Firm
\nLocation: Fairfield County, CT
\n \nResponsibilities Include:
\n- \n
- Responsible for the preparation of financial statements and reports for real estate properties \n
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions \n
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and property accounts \n
- Update supporting workpaper schedules that detail out the key financial statement line items for financial statement preparation \n
- Maintain records for leases, rent payments, and property expense payments and accruals \n
- Prepare and post journal entries related to real estate transactions, including cash and accrual basis entries \n
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing and compiling financial statement support for auditors, tax preparers and lender reporting \n
Preferred Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field \n
- 1-3 years of accounting experience (prior experience in real estate accounting preferred, but not required) \n
- Basic knowledge of GAAP accrual concepts and real estate accounting principles \n
- Proficiency in real estate accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, QuickBooks, or similar) \n
