Staff/Senior Accountant | Multi-Entity Sports Organization

We are currently partnered with a fast growing, multi-entity sports organization in Fairfield County who is looking to bring a Staff/Senior Accountant on to join their team. This company has quickly become a leader in the space and has been scaling rapidly over the last couple of years across multiple business entities.

The company is seeking a Staff/Senior level Accountant to join their team and work directly with their hands-on CFO, providing direct mentorship and high visibility across the organization. This is an amazing opportunity for a staff level accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety in their work, and wants exposure to the full accounting cycle across multiple entities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end close processes across all entities
• Manage AP/AR activities while performing bank and credit card reconciliations
• Contribute to budgeting and financial reporting activities along with preparing account schedules, allocations, and supporting analyses
• Support cash management and bank deposits
• Partner with leadership and operational teams across the organization

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience working hands on with month-end close activities
• BA/BS degree, preferably within accounting, finance, or related field
• Strong understanding of core accounting principles
• Experience with AP, AR, reconciliations, and some financial reporting
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

This role also offers flexible working hours and a hybrid work schedule of 4 days in office.
