Solutions Architect

Job Summary:
The Solution Architect is responsible for partnering with business and technology stakeholders to assess options and define technical solutions which will achieve strategic goals and operational requirements. In this role you will leverage your leadership skills to identify robust solutions and influence their outcome. This will include coordination across multiple domains and includes support for a broad range of business units within the firm. This role requires direct interaction with business leaders, architects and subject matter experts in various disciplines. The ideal candidate will exercise a high degree of collaboration and possess excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities, Duties, and Accountabilities:

• Provide solution architecture guidance and facilitate requirement and design activities
• Ensure proper level of captured detail and design artifacts
• Lead project teams and vendors to ensure that application, integration, infrastructure and security architectures are designed to meet roadmap requirements and align with organizational goals
• Support complex initiatives, including researching options regarding vendor products, integrations and custom capabilities to inform decisions and accelerate delivery
• Facilitate design reviews with stakeholders, capture feedback and decisions, participate in governance forums
• Partner with various teams to ensure implementation and operational transition is successful
• Identify and properly escalate solution risks and alternative options

Qualifications:

• 15 years experience in IT with 5 years in Financial Services industry
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of system design and architecture processes
• Experience with agile methodologies and modern software design practices
• Experience with cloud solution designs and integrations
• Experience with api and micro-service design
• Experience with data platforms, relational databases
• Knowledge of CRM platforms (Salesforce, Dynamics)
• Experience with Identity Access Management and SSO
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and load balancing
• Experience with multiple server OS and various app and web server platforms
• Experience with troubleshooting, tuning and optimization across multiple tiers and technology domains
• Must be detail oriented with an outstanding analytical and problem solving skillset
• Awareness of relevant business industry standards such as ACH, Wires, NACHA, OFX
• Awareness of relevant business industry regulations such as GLBA, SOX, PCI
• Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills
