Position Title Temporary Event Staff Compensation $13.00 Department Sports Facilities Management – Temp Start Date 07/17/2026 About This Opportunity Ball State University is seeking individuals to work as temporary staff for special events and athletic events. Eligible candidates must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. Job Responsibilities Maintain a safe environment for special events at the University. Provide security and direction at special events for Sports Facilities Management. Check patrons as they enter facilities and seat them according to ticket location. Maintain safety during special events and secure facilities. Assist with event set‑up and take‑down when needed. Scan and scan tickets; check bags as patrons enter. Perform miscellaneous security and bag‑check duties as required. Carry out other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D. accepted). Ability to stand for long periods. Availability to work three of the five home football games. Ability to climb stairs and operate at high points of a facility.
