Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Previous paraprofessional experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong commitment to supporting students with diverse needs
- Ability to adapt to changing classroom dynamics and routines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent (higher education a plus)
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside teachers to assist with classroom instruction and activities
- Support individual and small groups of students with academic or behavioral needs
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Provide instructional, emotional, and physical support to students as needed
- Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources
- Supervise students in various settings, including classroom, playground, and during transitions
- Collaborate with school staff to monitor and document student progress
