DART/Reproductive Animal Research Technician
$22.25 - $36 per hourAltasciences
Altasciences seeks an Animal Research Technician to support developmental and reproductive toxicology studies with laboratory rats and rabbits. The role involves performing specialized procedures, sample collection, animal observations, and data recording in a regulated, GLP-compliant environment for a contract research organization.
Responsibilities
- Execute DART studies including fertility, embryo-fetal development, and prenatal/postnatal assessments
- Monitor animal health, behavior, and well-being; report clinical observations
- Collect biological samples and administer test materials via approved routes
- Perform fetal assessment, tissue collection, fixation, and necropsy activities
- Support anesthesia, catheter placement, and endpoint collection procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hands-on experience with laboratory animals in gestational models and reproductive toxicology
- Proficiency handling and performing procedures on rats and rabbits
- Strong attention to detail and protocol adherence
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced settings
- Commitment to animal welfare and data integrity
Compensation: $22.25–$36.00 per hour
