Operating Room Open Heart (CVOR Nurse) Asheville, NC
The Operating Room Open Heart (CVOR Nurse) position supports cardiovascular care in a fast-paced, high-acuity pre-operative setting. The role requires strong documentation skills, the ability to work independently, and effective communication with the interdepartmental team. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 05:0013:30, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); certification is mandatory; CVOR experience; critical care experience is required; experience with BCMA; demonstrated excellent documentation; good critical thinking skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity patient area; ability to communicate effectively with the interdepartmental team; completion of 2 travel assignments
• Preferred Qualifications: Pre-op experience
• Additional Information: The role supports procedures performed in the unit, including large-bore IV starts, chin-to-toe hair removal, medication administration, skin assessment, assistance with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement; transports patients to the operating room and assists with induction/intubation, positioning, and skin prep.
