Marketing Associate: Job Description

The Marketing Blender is looking for a versatile, self-directed Marketing Associate who can own a high volume of client work across content, social, and reporting, while also representing the company well in front of C-suite clients and partners.

What You’ll Own

Client Social & Content (the core of the role)

• Own day-to-day social media execution: posting, scheduling, and content calendars, across 20+ client accounts
• Run the full blog production pipeline end to end: keyword research, titles, outlines, writing, approval routing, and publishing
• Design static social graphics and brief creative needs
• Compile and deliver monthly client scorecards and reporting

Podcast Production

• Support The Marketing Blender Show: topic planning, thumbnail design, episode publishing, distribution, and companion blog content

Business Development Support

• Coordinate and conduct client case study interviews
• Run Vistage speaker outreach and booking for both The Marketing Blender and our CEO individually, building chair lists, managing email outreach, and tracking results
• Manage the CEO’s personal social media presence and content
• Provide light day-to-day support to leadership (email/calendar triage, light admin), not a full executive assistant role

Events

• Support client event logistics (social walls, landing pages, attendee communications, post-event recaps) as needed

What We’re Looking For

Work style

• Comfortable managing a high volume of concurrent priorities; you will typically be running 20+ client accounts and several recurring programs at once, all on fixed monthly deadlines
• Deadline-driven, self-starting, and self-tracking; you catch a slipping timeline before someone else has to flag it for you
• Versatile: able to move between blog writing, social execution, reporting, and event support within the same week without losing quality on any of it
• A fast learner who can pick up a new client, tool, or workflow with minimal hand-holding

Initiative

• Proactively looks for ways to add value beyond the assigned task list, flags an opportunity, a risk, or a better way to do something without waiting to be asked
• Executes assigned work on time and in scope, every time, as the baseline; initiative is additive to reliable execution, not a substitute for it

Communication

• Strong verbal and written communicator, comfortable interfacing directly with C-suite clients and partners
• Represents the company well in tone, professionalism, and polish in every client-facing interaction

Requirements

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (or in progress/recently completed) in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• 1-2 relevant internships or equivalent hands‑on marketing experience.

Must-have skills

• Strong writing: able to produce clean, on‑brand blog and social copy at volume
• Working graphic design ability (Canva or similar), comfortable producing static social graphics independently
• Spreadsheet fluency: able to maintain and update recurring reporting/scorecards accurately
• Practical social media platform knowledge (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram), posting, scheduling, basic content strategy
• Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)

Nice to have

• Experience with a social scheduling tool (e.g., Metricool)
• Basic SEO/keyword research literacy
• Familiarity with YouTube upload/publishing workflows
