Speech Language Pathologist Acute PRN

Job Summary Speech Language Pathologist (Acute PRN) – At HCA Florida Brandon Hospital, you will plan and administer medically prescribed treatment programs for the rehabilitation of speech, language, cognitive, and oral motor disorders. Responsibilities Evaluate the patient’s condition, obtain case history, and administer diagnostic tests to determine the nature and degree of speech and language problems. Establish, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with hospital/department policies and procedures. Determine when patient progress and goals have been met or medical necessity no longer warrants intervention. Establish provisions for continuing services and make referrals to other professionals regarding patient care as necessary. Requirements Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology required. State of Florida Speech‑Language Pathologist licensure required. Minimum of 1 year experience in direct patient rehabilitation. Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) awarded by the American Speech‑Language Hearing Association. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Critical thinking, service excellence, good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions, and PC skills.
