St. Joseph’s South Hospital is seeking a dedicated Acute Care Speech Therapist -PRN/Pool to provide high-quality rehabilitation services in an acute care setting. Acute Speech Therapist Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated care. Educate patients and families on therapy goals, progress, and strategies for continued recovery. Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to discharge planning. Provide mentorship and clinical guidance to students and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates as needed. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Florida State License in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Location: St Josephs South Hospital- Riverview, FL Status: Pool, Exempt: No Shift Hours: varies/Days On Call: No How often will this team member be working remotely?
