Sous Chef A sous chef is tasked with ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly, preparing food and sauces, and assisting head chefs with service. Candidates for this role need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced and often stressful work environment. Responsibilities Prepare food for service and help keep the kitchen clean, tidy, and operational. Follow orders from supervisors and assist with tasks assigned by the head chef or supervisor, overseeing specific stations as needed. Stock work stations with necessary equipment and ensure that work stations are clean and meet sanitary regulations at all times. Check inventory stocks, verify the quality of supplies received, monitor dates and temperatures, and rotate stock to keep quality optimal. Comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring that all kitchen standards are met and that the kitchen remains hygienic. #J-18808-Ljbffr
