Theater Operations Lead

Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for theater operations, providing expert guidance and oversight to ensure successful execution of PD Aerostats program operations in a designated overseas region. Lead and manage a team of operations personnel, including training, mentoring, and evaluating team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively. Develop and maintain relationships with local military, government, and contractors to ensure seamless integration and coordination of program operations. Conduct operational planning and coordination with local stakeholders, including development of operational plans, concept of operations (CONOPS), and other relevant documents. Oversee the execution of program operations, including aerostat launches, recoveries, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures. Provide expert analysis and recommendations on operational issues, including identifying and mitigating risks, and developing solutions to overcome operational challenges. Collaborate with other program teams, including engineering, logistics, and testing, to ensure that operational requirements are met and that program objectives are achieved. Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of local regulations, laws, and cultural norms, ensuring that program operations are conducted in compliance with these requirements. Manage and oversee the maintenance of program equipment and facilities, including ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and certified for use. Develop and deliver briefings, reports, and other presentations to senior leadership and other stakeholders on theater operations, including providing expert testimony and advice on operational matters. Serve as a liaison between the program office and local stakeholders, including providing updates on program status, addressing concerns, and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner. Requirements Ten (10) or more years in experience in managing a military or civilian operations setting. BA/BS or higher. Shall have a top secret (TS) clearance with the ability to obtain sensitive compartmented information (SCI). An additional 8 years experience in a related field may be substituted for education. A Masters degree or higher may be substituted for 4 years of experience as long as the degree is in a related field. Compensation Salary at RSC2 is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 – $185,000 (annualized USD).
