Finance Manager

The Mount Prospect Public Library is seeking a skilled Finance Manager to lead and oversee our financial operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the library’s $11+ million budget and ensuring strong financial stewardship in support of our mission. As Finance Manager, you will supervise a team of four, including a Staff Accountant, Bookkeeper, and two Administrative Assistants, while guiding the organization’s financial strategy, reporting, and compliance. What You’ll Do Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting Manage and mentor a team of finance and administrative staff Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and regulations Provide strategic financial insights to support organizational decision‑making Maintain and improve financial systems and processes What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of finance/accounting experience, with prior management experience preferred Experience in public accounting and governmental fund accounting (required) Familiarity with Blackbaud Financial Edge software (highly desirable) Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills Why Join MPPL?
