Sr. Cost Accountant

SUMMARY

The Senior Cost Accountant will be a key member of the Cytek Global Finance team and the principal finance individual supporting the Cytek Manufacturing Leadership team. This role will support all aspects of costing and will need to fully understand inventory activities, bill of materials, manufacturing yield analysis, direct and indirect labor cost, and overhead assessment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the Cytek bill of material and related costing process Conduct the inventory Excess & Obsolescence analysis Perform Purchase Price Variance analysis Drive costing and inventory process improvements Oversee cost accounting program, including product cost models to ensure the cost is accurately captured. Weekly review of inventory transactions to identify potential errors, i.e., negative inventory quantities, significant PPV, and vendor returns. Prepare and review inventory analysis, valuation, and impairment on a quarterly basis. Prepare and review schedules used in monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for both internal and 10‑K and 10‑Q reporting purposes. Assist the manager in the preparation and review of the market‑specific financial statements for cost and inventory areas and GM. Provide periodic (monthly/quarterly) operational cost analysis. Assist with operational cost model and SKU‑level analysis initiatives to provide improved profitability reporting. Proactively identify areas to improve profitability and business results by leveraging cost models, analysis, and business partnerships with operations. Work directly with operational and site teams on special projects and initiatives related to cost and inventory. Maintain document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Support the year‑end financial audit and tax preparation process. Work closely with external auditors to ensure regulatory compliance of our inventory costing positions. Work cross‑functionally with company departments and external partners on key operational projects and cost accounting and reporting requirements. Support manager for the implementation of accounting policies and procedures related to inventory and cost accounting. Communicate risks and opportunities on a timely basis to the leadership team while proposing solutions to any costing or production challenge.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field Analysis, reporting and budgeting experience preferred Strong software skills to include Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) Experience with ERP & reporting systems such as NetSuite Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS At least 5 years of relevant work experience Industry experience
