EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR PATIENT SAFETY AND QUALITY Location Middleburg Heights, OH Facility Southwest General Health Ctr Department ADMINISTRATION The Executive Director Patient Safety and Quality has overall accountability to provide strategic direction, leadership, alignment and integration of patient safety and quality spanning the Enterprise (Acute Care, Hospital Outpatient, ED, ASC, Acute Rehab, Psychiatric Hospital and Medical Group). Responsible for strategic initiatives for patient and workplace safety, emergency preparedness, clinical effectiveness and regulatory compliance, overseeing performance improvement, risk management, infection prevention and data analysis (Patient Experience, Case Management, Medical Staff Office/Peer Review) to ensure high-quality, patient centered care while collaborating with executive leadership, medical staff and boards to meet quality benchmarks and accreditation standards. Education: Master’s degree in nursing or a related field required. Required length and type of experience: In-depth knowledge of healthcare systems, physician group practices, operations and support services. Minimum of 5 years of progressive senior-level leadership experience in hospital quality, performance improvement, regulatory compliance and/or survey preparedness. 10 years preferred. Experience and knowledge of continuous improvement philosophies and tools. Expertise in error prevention training, root cause analysis, process improvement and project management methodologies. Understanding of the application of clinical quality data, decision support systems, event reporting/tracking systems. Demonstrated change management skills. Established skills in strategy development and work prioritizations, leadership, facilitation, negotiation, consensus building, team building and conflict identification and resolution. Excellent teaching and presentation skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously with demonstrated ability to complete projects successfully on time and within budget. Experience working in complex health care organizations, building trusting relationships, influencing, and aligning diverse stakeholders to achieve a common vision. Ability to engage physicians, peers, and other members of the healthcare team in supporting quality initiatives. Understands administrative concepts, organizational behavior, legal and ethical matters, healthcare economics, health and public policy and outcome measure. #J-18808-Ljbffr
