Emergency Nursing - Registered Nurse

ED Location: Lewiston, Maine Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:00PM x 3 Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension Pay Rate: $60 - $64/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring an ED for a temporary assignment in Lewiston, Maine. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a ED:

• Serve as an essential member of the patient care team responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process
• Assess patients upon admission and throughout their stay
• Administer IV medications, therapy, and blood transfusions as needed
• Provide patient education throughout the care continuum
• Document nursing care actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses
• Deliver emergency care services within a full-spectrum emergency center environment, including a separate Chest Pain Center
• Assume charge nurse and preceptor roles when needed
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Apply at least 2 years of ED setting experience to patient care delivery
• Maintain valid state licensure without hits or actions on license or background
• Reside outside of a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Complete up to 16 hours of unpaid orientation
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
