We are all employee-owners at HDR, which is the foundation of our collaborative culture that connects employees around the world.In the role of Transportation Municipal Section Manager, we'll count on you to:Lead business development activities, including direct client interaction and engagementTake responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing supportImplement, monitor and support company policySelect, train, develop and manage technical personnelDevelop a strategic business plan and oversee the hiring of team members to assist in the execution of the planProcure, manage, and execute municipal transportation projectsPerform project management, subconsultant coordination, project and task scheduling, contract scope and fee development/negotiations, design team management, civil design, plan production oversight, cost estimating, client management, business developmentProvide technical expertise to serve as a project leader and technical advisor on municipal transportation projectsParticipate in marketing activities such as proposal, letters of interest, interviews, and presentationsActively coordinate with other business groups and subject matter experts to present additional services and solutions to existing and new clientsFoster collaboration between design teams and specialized service providersPerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications10 or more years’ experience in transportation roadway design including project management experience Experience should include street/arterial roadways, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plansDemonstrated hands-on experience using MicroStation, InRoads, GEOPAK, ORD, or other CAD design softwarePE required and if registered as a PE in another state, the candidate must gain Texas reciprocity within 6 monthsPMPLocal Government Project Procedures (LGPP) CertificationMS Office knowledgeActively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand#LI-KT1QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceA minimum of 10 years experience Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role Strong communication and listening skills Ability to handle multiple assignments Good leadership and organizational skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We BelieveHDR is our company.
