Associate Medical Director

Associate Medical DirectorTrustbridge Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a full-time Associate Medical Director to provide medical direction and guidance to Interdisciplinary Groups and maintains responsibility for the direction and quality of the medical component of care rendered to the patient/family unit.Since 1978, Trustbridge Hospice has been honored to serve families across Palm Beach and Broward counties with compassionate, community-based care. Formed from the legacy of Hospice by the Sea and Hospice of Palm Beach County, we continue to provide comfort, dignity, and peace to those facing advanced illness.What You'll Do:Promotes and practices the Empath and Hospice Program mission, vision and values and follows all policies and procedures.Collaborates with the patient's attending physician as needed to develop and update the patient's plan of care, ensure the provision of direct medical services and to ensure pain and symptom management.Serves as a medical resource and educator to hospice staff, patients, families and attending physicians regarding admission criteria, pain and symptom control management and end of life issues hospice and palliative care.Adheres to the Florida Department of Health requirements, as well as legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements.Actively participates in IDG conferences as assigned, collaborating closely with the Clinical Director and other disciplines with a team approach to ensure that the medical needs of the patient are met.Provides symptom control expertise and communicates with the RNCM to initiate and evaluate treatments for pain/symptom management.
