This is R/A. Job Summary As a Catering Manager , you will lead the day-to-day catering operations of a high-volume corporate dining catering program in Jersey City, NJ. This role will ensure seamless execution of events from planning through breakdown. This role combines hands-on event leadership with operational oversight, including training and directing staff, managing inventory and administrative processes, and delivering exceptional client service. You will serve as a key partner to the Catering Director, providing daily operational support and backup coverage, while also collaborating cross-functionally with Workplace Experience teams and stakeholders across the organization. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and brings a polished, client-facing presence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervises/executes all catering events. Involved in catering events operations, including logistics, quality improvement, sanitation, and all facility-related activities. Works with the Chef in creating menus. Trains catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service. Tracks and monitors the labor and food costs for each event. Communicates on various levels to include management, client, customer, and associate levels; maintains excellent client relationships. Assists in the responsibility for all foodservice-related activities. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Proficient computer skills, including MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet. At least 5 years of catering management experience in a high-volume setting is required. Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, fine dining, and/or related food service operations preferred. Catering experience is required. Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation. Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
