General Cardiologist (Providence Heart Institute - Missoula)

Seeking a full-time, board-eligible/board-certified General Cardiologist to join a top-notch, highly skilled team of fourteen cardiologists and three cardiothoracic surgeons at the Providence Heart Institute of Montana, located in the Providence St. Patrick Hospital. This 253-bed Level II trauma center has received the Premier Award for quality for Acute Myocardial Infarction as well as the Gold Seal of Approval for Stroke Centers. • Formal training and expertise in echocardiography required
• Nuclear cardiology background a plus
• Responsibilities will include reading echo (including TEE)
• Opportunity for Cardiac CT
• Mix of inpatient and outpatient. Cardiology is primarily a consultant service. 24-hour Hospitalist coverage
• Desirable Monday to Friday with 4/10-hour shifts schedule with 1:7 call once fully staffed
• One designated outreach clinic location
• Full APP support weekdays and weekends. APP is first on call during the week
• Minimal call burden with essentially telephone call only after hours.
• Dedicated imaging days compromising of echos, nuc, CT
• Dedicated TEE days
• Clinic 12-16 patients daily
• Opportunity for specialty clinics if interested, ie. Cardio-oncology, women's cardiology, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
