PT Housekeeper – Pet Nanny MUST LOVE DOGS!!
Location: Rowayton, Connecticut Start Date: April 6, 2026 Schedule: Part-Time | Live-Out
A private and respectful couple in Rowayton, CT, is seeking an experienced Full-Charge Housekeeper to maintain their beautiful 4,500 sq ft home and care for their two dogs—a German Shepherd and a German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix—during the day. The household includes three adults, with the mother-in-law home during the day, and no children, so the ideal candidate must be highly detail-oriented, trustworthy, and comfortable working around large dogs while keeping the home peaceful and well-organized.
Schedule
4 days per week (Monday–Thursday). Typical hours are approximately 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
Housekeeping
- Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of a 4-bedroom, 5-bathroom home (4,500 sq ft house)
- Detailed cleaning and upkeep of all living areas
- Care for delicate furnishings and household items
- Laundry and garment care, including pressing, steaming, and lint removal
- Organizing closets, storage spaces, and household items
- Maintaining a calm, tidy environment for the family’s return home
Pet Care
- Let the dogs out into the yard during the day
- Feed the dogs and ensure their daily needs are met
- Provide attentive supervision and general care as needed
Ideal Candidate
The family is looking for someone who is meticulous, dependable, discreet, and proactive—a professional housekeeper who treats the home and belongings with exceptional care.
Qualifications include:
- Prior experience as a Full-Charge Housekeeper
- Extremely comfortable with large dogs
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience caring for fine furnishings and delicate surfaces
- Excellent laundry and garment care skills
- Professional, respectful, and private demeanor
- Ability to work in a home where a family member is present during the day
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $35 per hour
