What You'll Do - You'll Make the Moment

This role serves as the product owner for Cracker Barrel owned digital properties including web, mobile web, native app (iOS and Android) and serves as the day-to-day business leader for the properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of the consumer digital, ecommerce, and marketing space; a proven ability to cross-functionally build consensus to deliver great digital experiences; and a track record of breaking down complex requirements into a meaningful work stream to power an Agile digital team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Own relationships with the various business areas served by Cracker Barrel digital properties to gather current and future digital needs.

• Lead and work closely with PM and Digital Leaders to create and refine processes for efficient delivery of successful deployments and releases.

• Lead and work with the Digital and Operations teams to design journey maps and operational processes to provide comprehensive user experiences that can be technically and operationally executed.

• Collaborate with Digital leadership to translate requirements into a thoughtful, iterative series of epics to drive the digital roadmap.

• Develop detailed business requirements to capture the business and technical needs for finished, anticipated digital experiences.

• Oversee breakdown of epics into user stories by the BA team(s), to be used by the Agile team of internal employees, external contractors, and agency partners to accomplish iterative digital outcomes.

• Approve User Stories and Technical requirements documented by the technical teams.

• Prioritize roadmap, backlog and sprint cycle work across multiple Agile teams.

• Assist in the configuration of third-party digital solutions to meet the documented business requirements to support the efforts of the Digital team.

• User acceptance test digital features to ensure that they deliver the high-quality digital experience that our Guests and Employees deserve.

• Create professional team artifacts including charters, requirements, and support documentation.

Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology, marketing, or other relevant discipline.

• Five+ years of progressive Agile product owner experience working on consumer facing Digital properties ideally with integrated commerce capabilities.

• Restaurant and/or retail experience preferred.

Remote work my be considered for the ideal candidate.
