Known for its vibrant neighborhood vibe, Savoy provides a welcoming atmosphere where food, drinks, and service come together to create memorable moments for our guests.Benefits:Competitive PayShift Meal & Monthly Dining Allowance for all locations100% Employer Paid DisabilityFlexible SchedulingOpportunities for Growth and Advancement401(k) with matching up to 4%Health, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid Time Off & Paid Sick TimeReferral ProgramLife, Accident, Critical Illness, & Pet InsuranceCareer Development within the Max Hospitality GroupResponsibilities:Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and quality food preparationSupervise, train, and develop kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety, sanitation, and quality standardsCollaborate with the Executive Chef in creating and developing new menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and local productsAssist with managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and rotating stock to ensure freshness and minimize wasteMaintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and surrounding areas, ensuring all food preparation areas meet the highest standards of hygieneTroubleshoot any culinary issues that arise during service, ensuring quick resolutions while maintaining quality and consistencyWork closely with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth communication and guest satisfaction during serviceHelp manage kitchen staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and maintain effective workflowAdhere to all health, safety, and food quality regulations in the kitchenWhat We’re Looking ForExperience:Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen role in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurantStrong knowledge of American and seasonal cuisine, particularly in a wood-fired kitchen environmentProven ability to lead and motivate a kitchen teamFamiliarity with kitchen management, inventory control, and product orderingExperience in a fine dining or upscale casual restaurant setting is a plusSkills and Qualities:Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both front and back-of-house teamsExceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyA passion for food, particularly in a seasonal, ingredient-driven kitchenAbility to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and consistencyA positive, approachable attitude with a natural ability to lead and inspire othersA professional demeanor and appearance is required, with the ability to uphold Savoy’s high culinary standardsDiversity Creates a Healthy Atmosphere:Max Hospitality is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
