Patient Concierge

Job Overview

Serving as the face of the Clinics and Surgery Center (CSC), the Patient Concierge Team ensures that patients and their guests have an unparalleled experience at the CSC. Proactively setting the stage for the patient experience with outstanding customer service skills, the Patient Concierge professionally and efficiently coordinates guest reception, provides wayfinding, as well as anticipates and fulfills guest needs. They work collaboratively with all team members involved in delivering care. Rotating throughout the facility for optimum coverage as needed, Patient Concierge Team members will be knowledgeable and comfortable using building technology resources, and be able to educate patients and guests on resources.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm


Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes all in-coming guests, staff and vendors in a warm, friendly and professional manner, paying attention to specific individual guest needs to ensure that patients and their guests have an excellent experience.
• Determines the patient's status, checking the patient's itinerary and directing patients to proper clinic location. Provides guidance and reassurance related to any anxiety about the visit or the logistics of the day, problem solving in the event that there is confusion or a mistake on the itinerary.
• Anticipates patient and guest needs, offers options for increased comfort, answers requests for directions, phone numbers, personal services, transportation, etc.
• Assists guests in wheelchairs and with vehicle transfers
• Receives arriving patients and guests at the entrance and guides them to their destination by verbal direction or by escort.
• Arranges for necessary accommodations and interpreter support.
• Ensures all waiting areas are clean, orderly and inviting.

Required Qualifications

• Some post-secondary education or multi-culturally competent.
• Office/reception, retail service, and concierge or customer service experience.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) Upon Hire
