Benefits Specialist

The Opportunity As a Benefits Specialist, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day administration, accuracy, and compliance of employee benefits programs. This role serves as a key resource for employees, helping them understand and effectively utilize their benefits while ensuring seamless coordination with internal teams and external vendors. Key Responsibilities Administer employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, leave of absence, retirement, wellness, etc.) Manage benefit enrollments, life events, and terminations Monitor and analyze healthcare and retirement plan usage to identify opportunities for plan design improvements Own and manage relationships with third‑party administrators, benefit vendors, HRIS, and Payroll Partner with the Head of HR (US) and benefits brokers on the annual benefit renewal and benefit communication Generate data‑driven executive reports on benefit expenses, enrollment metrics, and employee participation rates Serve as the primary contact for employee benefits inquiries Coordinate annual open enrollment Lead annual compliance audits including 401(k) and EEO reporting Work closely with the payroll team ensuring accurate compensation processing for employees on LOA Responsible for maintaining the benefits reward platform Develop, update, and manage clear and effective employee communications and materials related to benefits programs, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with company policies Conduct audits for data accuracy What You’ll Bring to the Team Strong blend of technical expertise and employee‑focused communication, hands‑on experience in HRIS systems and data integrations, ability to translate complex benefits information into clear, user‑friendly guidance, and a solid understanding of key regulations such as ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and the ACA. Additional Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 5 years in benefits administration Knowledge of benefits programs and regulations Open enrollment experience Strong understanding of multi‑state benefits administration Multi‑state leave of absence program experience HR or Benefits certification preferred Proven ability to handle multiple competing priorities and duties in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented, and rapidly changing environment Demonstrated success in managing and working with highly sensitive and confidential information Ability to successfully build relationships with peers, partners, and leaders throughout the business Excellent process skills, documentation, and analytical skills Good understanding of Office 365 including MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook Embodies the company values of being positive, being the difference, being one team, and being passionate about travel Benefits Salary $70,000–$95,000 (dependent on experience) 90‑100% coverage of insurance premiums 10 paid holidays including your birthday off 1 day off for volunteering to support a charity, local support group, or community work of your choice Generous PTO policy (20 days to start, with anniversary‑tied increases) Flexible hybrid working options (minimum 3 days per week in the Boston, MA office) Opportunities for additional travel Friends & Family discounts on luxury travel services #J-18808-Ljbffr
