Community Care Licensing Specialist 1

Position Overview The Community Care Licensing Specialist 1 is a full‑time position located in the Bethel Field Office, Alaska. Responsibilities Recruit, support, and assess individuals throughout Alaska to provide foster care. Recruit and support resource families to establish safe, nurturing home environments for children. Investigate and license individuals and families for foster placement. Transport State of Alaska equipment (laptop, satellite cell phone, fingerprint scanner, etc.). Travel to rural communities and, when necessary, use remote supervision model with on‑site co‑workers and administrative support. Work Environment & Travel The role requires office and field work. The specialist may travel to remote communities on foot, by small plane, boat, ATV, or snow machine, and use personal vehicles with mileage reimbursement. Writing: Produce clear, concise written information appropriate for the intended audience. Written Communication. Additional Requirements Valid Alaska driver’s license. Mileage reimbursement is available when a personal vehicle is used. Background and fingerprint check required.
