Work Environment

Located in the heart of Syracuse, New York, our facility combines modern design with a calming atmosphere to ensure comfort for both patients and staff. As part of a hospital setting, you will work onsite alongside a multidisciplinary team comprising other specialists, nurses, and administrative staff who collectively prioritize patient-centered care. Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with approximately 40 hours per week dedicated to patient care. On-call responsibilities will be shared among the team to guarantee round-the-clock support for emergency cases, with specific arrangements to be discussed during the interview.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments including detailed medical histories, physical examinations, and advanced diagnostic tests to accurately diagnose various ear, nose, and throat conditions.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans leveraging both medical and surgical interventions tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
• Perform a range of surgical procedures such as tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, and sinus surgeries, employing advanced surgical techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Prescribe and manage appropriate medications and therapies while providing guidance on preventive measures to enhance overall patient wellness.
• Collaborate closely with allied healthcare professionals like audiologists and speech-language pathologists to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for each patient.
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses and treatment options, promoting informed decision-making and active involvement in their care.
• Maintain meticulous electronic medical records that document treatment plans and patient progress, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field through continuous professional development and active participation in relevant workshops and conferences.
• Adhere to ethical standards and legal regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse patient population includes children and adults seeking treatment for a wide array of conditions such as allergies, hearing loss, chronic sinusitis, sleep apnea, and head and neck disorders. You will be responsible for addressing these varied needs, ensuring each patient receives personalized care tailored to their unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of a residency program in Otolaryngology.
• Board certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Otolaryngology.
• A valid medical license in New York state.
• Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating a broad range of ear, nose, and throat conditions.
• Proficient in surgical techniques and practices related to otolaryngology.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to connect with patients and their families empathetically.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting focused on otolaryngology.
• Experience in a collaborative team environment is preferred, as is familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs).

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 250,000 to USD 350,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
