Quality Inspector

Westerman, Inc., an employee-owned company, is a multiple site manufacturer of production and storage equipment within the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. Our equipment is setting new standards for performance and economics nationwide.This position will be located in Casper, WY at our JW Williams facility (a company of Westerman, Inc.).SUMMARYThe Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting parts of Pressure Vessels and process piping for stress and failure using multiple methods per regulatory, customer, and internal requirements. Candidates for this role should have a working knowledge of all inspection roles/ processes such as visual inspection, hydrostatic and various NDE methods. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for helping to detect the root cause of Quality issues as well as keeping track of Quality documentation through Quality forms & document control software. The Quality Inspector must have applicable knowledge of all ASME codes that pertain to pressure vessels. The Quality Inspector will be required to have the ability to train, coordinate, and communicate effectively with all departments and personnel.RESPONSIBILITIES Regular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE2 years’ experience as Code Welder, Quality Inspector or equivalent knowledgeASME Section VIII and B31.3 code knowledge requiredMust be meticulous about capturing and retaining informationMust have basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Record-keeping software, etc)Must be able to work in a team environment and be able to explain issues without becoming personally involvedMust be analytical and detail orientedMust have working knowledge of mathematical and measurement principlesMust have a positive attitude and a desire to continually improveCandidate must be able to pass a visual acuity & color perception vision examPREFERRED EXPERIENCEOSHA safety training and HazMat training preferredRelated Associate or Bachelor degree preferred but not necessaryCurrent AWS CWI &/or LVL 1 training in VT/PT/UT/MT and RT Film InterpretationPHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
