Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist Pendleton, OR


Join our distinguished team as a Locum Physician specializing in Obstetric Hospitalist services in Pendleton, Oregon. You will be part of a dedicated program focused on delivering comprehensive obstetric services in a community-focused setting.


The position entails covering approximately 20 shifts per month, with each shift lasting 24 hours. Your responsibilities will include clinic work during weekday shifts, followed by on-call duties for the remainder of the day. Weekend shifts are scheduled exclusively on an on-call basis. This role requires adaptability, clinical expertise, and a commitment to patient-centered care.


Required Skills:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Valid and unrestricted medical license in Oregon
• Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Proven experience in hospitalist or obstetric practice
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, autonomous environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond promptly to patient needs

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with high-risk obstetrics
• BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications
• Prior locum or temporary staffing experience
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Active Oregon state medical license
• Minimum of 2 years of obstetric hospitalist experience
• Previous experience working in community hospital settings

Other Requirements:

• Availability to start on 12/01/2025
• Willingness to work 24-hour shifts, including weekends on-call
• Compliance with all licensure, certification, and credentialing requirements
• Ability to travel to Pendleton, OR, if not local
