Registered Nurse - Float Pool - 24 Hours - Variable

Nursing Opportunity At Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Acts as a patient advocate while utilizing the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal focused, individualized, safe, age specific care for all patients including those with complex pathophysiological needs and/or psychosocial needs.

Unit Description:

All the Float Pool staff is assigned to either a med/surg, stepdown, observation, or ICU unit. Must have 2 years of RN experience. The float pool allows for flexible self-scheduling. The RNs with the specific skill set can be assigned to Critical Care, otherwise any of the GPUs. Float Pool is also great for people who like change and not a repetitive routine of reporting to the same department every shift.

Education/Experience Required:

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Certifications/Licensures Required:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
