Waterjet Operator

The Waterjet Operator will perform precision measuring, cutting and finishing of raw materials used for manufacturing. They are responsible for setting up, operating and running the CNC Waterjet Equipment.

Responsibilities

1. Study blueprints to determine dimensions of finished piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
2. Set controls to regulate cutting factors and edit computerized machine control.
3. Responsible for operation, loading and unloading material and parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
4. Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations and set up requirements.
5. Ensure production rates are met or exceeded.

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATION:

• 1 year of experience operating a waterjet
• Computer knowledge
• Prior forklift experience
• Goal oriented
• Willing to learn

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Shop environment, and set the example of wearing eye and hearing protection when needed. Closed toe shoes are required due to working with sharp material and tools daily.

• Covered shoes at all times
• Working with sharp tools daily
• Handling material daily
