We are looking for a a proactive and results-driven Sales - Business Development Manager to lead the growth and expansion of GIS solutions within the Local Government market in Belgium and Luxembourg. As a key member of our team, you will drive business development efforts, foster strong client relationships, and position our GIS solutions as the go-to choice for Local Government sector looking to unlock and leverage the power of spatial data. As a Business Development Manager Local Government at Esri BeLux , you will play a key role in growing the market for our cutting-edge GIS solutions. You will work closely with both existing and new clients—municipalities and cities—to help them discover how GIS technology can support them in achieving their vision and strategic objectives. In this role, you act as a thought leader, raising awareness and inspiring potential clients about the transformative benefits of GIS. You will also be responsible for creating and nurturing a strong community of GIS users across Belgium and Luxembourg, with the goal of driving growth and achieving the set objectives. What will your day look like? Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the GIS market within the local public services sector in Belgium and Luxembourg. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in municipalities and cities, demonstrating the transformative value of GIS technology in supporting their operational and strategic objectives. You act as a trusted advisor. Identify customer needs and align them with GIS capabilities, turning their challenges into concrete, technology-based solutions. Create and lead a dynamic GIS user community within local governments in Belgium and Luxembourg. Inform and inspire stakeholders by organizing information sessions, workshops, and webinars showcasing the latest GIS innovations. Position yourself as a GIS expert by delivering impactful presentations, leading hands‑on workshops, and participating in industry events to strengthen Esri’s visibility. Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in the GIS and local government sectors, and use this knowledge to inspire clients on how Esri technology can overcome their obstacles and optimize their processes. Oversee and support the development and implementation of GIS projects, ensuring alignment with customer needs and goals. Collaborate closely with Esri’s international teams, including those in other European countries and at the US-based headquarters, to align strategies and share best practices in the local government field. Your profile You have 5+ years of experience in the public sector and/or IT solutions, for example in a solutions sales role. You are fully bilingual in French and Dutch, and have a strong command of English. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust‑based relationships with clients. You possess strong negotiation and problem‑solving skills to manage complex agreements. You are motivated to learn and develop a solid understanding of GIS technology and its applications. You are comfortable in a dynamic, evolving environment and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. You are results‑oriented, with a strong drive to contribute to revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
