Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated, sales-driven Leasing Consultant to join our onsite team in Augusta, Georgia. This is not a traditional administrative leasing role — this position plays a critical role in occupancy growth, resident retention, lead conversion, and overall community performance.
The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a high-accountability environment. Successful Leasing Consultants at REMG are skilled at building rapport, following up consistently, overcoming objections, and converting prospects into long-term residents.
This role requires urgency, professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage leasing traffic, resident interactions, and follow-up activity in a fast-paced multifamily environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeasing & Sales- Respond to leasing inquiries quickly and professionally through phone, email, text, and online platforms
- Conduct apartment tours and effectively present the community, amenities, and value proposition
- Convert leasing traffic into applications and signed leases through strong follow-up and relationship building
- Maintain consistent follow-up with all prospective residents using company CRM and leasing systems
- Overcome objections related to pricing, availability, and application requirements
- Actively contribute to occupancy recovery and leasing goals
- Deliver exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents
- Build positive relationships with residents to support retention and renewal efforts
- Assist with resident communication regarding community updates, policies, and service-related matters
- Support online reputation management by encouraging positive resident experiences and reviews
- Process rental applications, lease documents, and move-in paperwork accurately and efficiently
- Perform background checks, income verification, and application screening in accordance with Fair Housing guidelines and company policies
- Maintain accurate leasing records and resident files
- Assist with rent collection communication and delinquency follow-up as directed by management
- Coordinate with maintenance and management teams to ensure apartment readiness and positive move-in experiences
- Monitor community appearance and report property concerns as needed
- Previous leasing, sales, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Strong follow-up and time management skills
- Comfortable working with performance goals and accountability metrics
- Basic computer and technology proficiency
- Ability to learn property management software and CRM systems
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Multifamily leasing experience
- Experience with property management software
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates strongly encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of Fair Housing guidelines and leasing compliance
