As a Security Officer Entry Screening in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will document observations and respond to security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities. Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns. Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to site leadership. Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations. Minimum Requirements: At least one year of security-related experience is required. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
