Delivery Helper

Position Summary The primary functions of the Delivery Helper are to load, locate job sites, back up, prepare and restore the job site, prepare the truck for the following day, and maintain the truck and equipment. Duties & Responsibilities Compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines particularly as it relates to OSHA and DOT for the safety of all personnel. Perform pre‑trip inspections of equipment, paperwork and loaded product to ensure accuracy of order. Safely unload product and deliver to assigned area as directed by the customer. Secure mud, equipment, metal, and pallet on truck. Navigate routes to the job site. Basic Qualifications Ability to read, write and communicate information accurately. Stamina to lift at least 75 lbs. and carry materials such as drywall and joint compound. Core Competencies: Trust, integrity, servant leadership, diversity and humility. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain standing 90% of the time. Constantly move from unloading materials from commercial motor vehicles to the job site. Position self to unload and load materials from flatbed or boom. Frequently move materials weighing up to 100 lbs while unloading and loading flatbed. Must be able to communicate with management and coworkers, exchanging accurate information. Constantly work in an outside environment while making deliveries. Required Cognitive Skills Prioritize job sites and deadlines. Manage stress depending on customer’s deadline. Multi‑task. Receive information and directions. Communicate solutions quickly if problems occur. Demonstrate high degree of sound judgement. Salary and Benefits Base salary typically falls within the range of $19.00 to $23.94 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on position, location, education, training, and/or experience. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime based on business needs. Associates may also be eligible for performance‑based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
