CAMP KITCHEN AIDE

The Position

The City of Commerce Camp Program is located at Lake Arrowhead, CA. Under general supervision, provides entry level food service duties in support of Camp Commerce, including cleaning kitchen and dining areas, in compliance with health department regulations.

• Cleans kitchen and dining areas; maintains clean and sanitary conditions in facility in order to ensure the highest degree of cleanliness of food production and service areas.
• Cleans dishes, kitchen utensils and equipment; cleans tables, chairs, floors and surfaces; assists in setting up dining areas and beverage service centers for meals.
• Recognizes, avoids, and reports unsafe conditions, accidents and injuries.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Special Requirements

Licenses, Certificates and Special Requirements Required Licenses or Certifications: Must possess Food Handler's Certificate from the San Bernardino County Health Department upon appointment.

Benefit Summary for City of Commerce Part-Time Employees The following information is a brief description of benefits available for part-time employees. Health Benefits In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACT), the City will provide eligible part-time employees with a minimum of two (2) health plans from which to choose. The City shall pay fifty percent (50%) of the premium of the lowest cost plan offered to eligible employees covered by the ACA.

Social Security Administration Retirement Benefit The City participates in the federal Social Security program for part-time employees.

Deferred Compensation The City shall match an employee's deferred compensation contribution in an amount not to exceed 5% of the employee's gross salary contribution per pay period. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) The City pays 100% of the monthly premium for the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Standard Insurance Company's Health Advocates for all City employees and their eligible dependents and household members. Easy Eight Trip Reduction Program Employees are eligible to participate in the Easy Eight Trip Reduction Program. Employees who carpool eight (8) days in a month are eligible to receive $25 per month for ridesharing / carpooling.

• Paid holiday for Christmas Day at the rate of 6 hours of paid holiday time. In addition, part-time staff who works on New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day and the employee's own birthday, shall be paid double time for hours actually worked in lieu of holiday pay.
