Avenue Five Institute is an award-winning Beauty and Wellness school with two campuses in Austin, TX. We are currently seeking a student salon receptionists to support our growing population of talented cosmetology, esthetics, and massage therapy students. (
The ideal candidate must have exceptional customer service, verbal communication and organizational skills, along with an inherent passion to educate and enrich the lives of others. Possible full-time and/or part-time positions with day and evening shifts.
The professionals we seek must have at least 2 years of continuous experience in a salon, spa, med spa, skincare clinic, or similar environment. 2+ years experience is strongly encouraged. The position of Front Desk Associate includes the following responsibilities:
-Greeting each and every guest with a smile
-Helping support students by modeling "best customer service" behavior
-Checking guests in and out of service
-Scheduling appointments
-Answering a multi-line phone system
-Handling cash transactions
-Organizing and maintaining a clean and orderly reception area
-Inventory management
-Salon or retail experience is strongly recommended
-Experience in Booker software preferred
More important than any of the above responsibilities is the ability to create a warm professional atmosphere by delivering the highest quality customer service.

ESTHETICS PROGRAM (6 Months): Avenue Five Institutes esthetics curriculum embraces a clinical, results-oriented approach to skincare. Some of the advanced techniques we teach students are microdermabrasion, microcurrent, chemical peels, LED light therapy, alternative facial treatments, and custom masques. We believe that education isnt just about a license its about pursuing your passion and earning the skills you need to succeed in the industry. -school-austin/
COSMETOLOGY (8 Months): Our advanced cosmetology curriculum consists of Sassoon cutting principals, Wella Professional color methodologies, and styling techniques from Sebastian Professional. The student salon floor is an extension of your classroom and students learn hands-on, treating real clients under the expert guidance of licensed professionals. MASSAGE THERAPY (6 Months): Avenue Five Institutes unique 750-hour Advanced Massage Therapy Program provides comprehensive training, hands-on experience, and industry support it takes to pursue a successful career helping others in less than 1 year. In collaboration with national massage leaders, industry experts, and local employers, Avenue Five Institute has developed a truly advanced massage curriculum designed to prepare therapists for todays modern and ever-changing bodywork field.
