Job Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse in a busy 48-treatment space Emergency Department located in Elmira, New York. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical care to a diverse patient population experiencing acute illnesses and injuries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:5. This is a crucial role for an experienced RN dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill and injured patients across the lifespan.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to physician orders and hospital policy.
• Monitor, interpret, and document patient responses to interventions, including vital signs and diagnostic results.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Manage patient assignments with a 1:5 patient ratio, ensuring timely and effective care delivery.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive electronic health records for all patient encounters.
