Case Manager (Part-Time)

Job Details Location: GOALS - 14991 E. Oxford Ave., Aurora, CO 80014 Salary Range: $24.39 - $29.26 hourly Travel Percentage: None Organization Overview The mission of Family Tree is to partner with all people to prevent and overcome the interconnected issues of child abuse, domestic violence, and homelessness to promote safety, healing, and stability across generations. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Proficiency in English required Provide advocacy, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution to households who have experienced domestic violence or homelessness Maintain confidentiality of shelter, employees, and client information per Family Tree policies Basic knowledge of domestic violence and its impact on survivors and/or children Assist residents with housing navigation, benefits acquisition, educational/vocational referrals, financial empowerment, behavioral/health referrals, goal setting, life skills, and establishment of a personal support network Promptly enter documentation and information into Salesforce, HMIS, and other respective tracking systems; maintain documentation and data needed for monthly grant reporting Complete documentation for clients’ interactions in a timely and accurate manner Follow up with applications for services and complete intakes of new clients Communicate with partner agencies and other professionals as needed to better service clients Other Duties Adhere to Family Tree’s Continuous Improvement Practice by completing client support tools, sending feedback, and post‑exit surveys according to standards Support volunteers, interns, and other staff while at Family Tree shelters Communicate and coordinate with the Program Director for materials and items needed Working Environment This is an in‑office, part‑time 20‑hour‑a‑week position. The position can require afternoon, evening, and weekend hours. The schedule may vary according to program needs and employees are expected to maintain flexible schedules. Reliable transportation is required daily. The shelter operates 24/7, 365 days a year. Physical Activities Sitting/standing for long periods Talking, hearing (ordinary conversation) Seeing (reading paperwork, computer screen work, etc.) Manual dexterity sufficient to operate computers and telephones Qualifications Required Skills/Competencies Critical Thinking – able to think clearly and rationally when a situation demands it, analyze facts objectively Problem Solving – carry out self‑directed tasks with limited supervision, identify problems, prioritize alternatives, and evaluate results Fostering Teamwork and Collaboration – collaborate with team members, leadership, and partner agencies, listen to ideas, communicate ideas and disagreements constructively Flexibility and Adaptability – comfortable navigating the unknown, make decisions with limited information, transition between tasks, work in a fast‑paced environment Communication – explain complex ideas to audiences in written and oral formats, provide direction and instructions effectively, report factual interactions Professionalism and Work Ethic – manage time adequately, focus on client needs, apply trauma‑informed practices, cultural competency, and inclusiveness Initiative – work in a self‑directed manner, communicate well within a team, perform tasks with strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills Preferred Skills/Competencies Relationship Management – build healthy working relationships with Family Tree team members; skills from lived experience or professional experience with vulnerable populations and marginalized communities Decision Making – skilled in gathering information, evaluating options, and presenting solutions or courses of action Organizational Competency – prioritize and manage workload, manage time, demonstrate strong attention to detail Communication – explain complex ideas to audiences in written and oral formats, provide direction and instructions, report factual interactions Digital Literacy – find, evaluate, and communicate information using typing and digital media platforms like Microsoft Suite and search engines Resourcefulness – navigate Metro Denver area community resources, understand voucher administration and Medicaid billing processes #J-18808-Ljbffr Family Tree
