Are you the technician everyone turns to when the diagnosis gets tough?

AutoShop Recruiting is partnering with a high-performing independent repair facility in the Garfield Heights, OH area that is looking to add a true diagnostic technician to their team. This is a shop that values skill, efficiency, and professionalism — and backs it up with consistent workflow, strong leadership, and the right environment to succeed.

This is not an entry-level role. This is for a technician who can own the problem, find the answer, and fix it right the first time.

✅ Perform advanced troubleshooting using modern scan tools and equipment

✅ Execute high-level repairs across a wide range of makes and models

✅ Collaborate with service advisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow

✅ Maintain accurate documentation and inspection notes

✅ Contribute to a clean, organized, and professional shop environment

???? What We’re Looking For

✔️ 5+ years of hands-on automotive experience

✔️ Strong diagnostic skillset (electrical, drivability, CAN systems, etc.)

✔️ Ability to work independently without constant oversight

✔️ High level of accountability and pride in workmanship

✔️ Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills

✔️ Valid driver’s license

✔️ ASE certifications are a plus (not required)

???? Compensation & Perks

???? Up to $45/hr based on experience and production

???? Performance-based bonuses and earning potential

???? Climate-controlled shop environment (yes — you’ll stay comfortable)

???? Updated equipment and diagnostic tools

???? Paid training and continued education

???? Health benefits, retirement options, PTO, and holidays

???? Steady workflow — no shortage of hours

???? Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This is a well-run, growth-oriented shop where technicians are respected, supported, and kept busy. Leadership understands that great techs don’t come from job boards — they come from environments where they can produce, grow, and make strong income without the headaches.

If you’re tired of bouncing around or being underutilized, this is a chance to step into a role where your diagnostic ability is the centerpiece — not an afterthought.
