Production Technician II

Production Technician II The primary responsibility of the Production Technician II is to test and assemble Small Unmanned Aerial System products in our manufacturing facility following released engineering drawings and assembly instructions using our work order system. Position Responsibilities Mechanical assembly of subassemblies using small hand and/or power tools, including soldering as required. Final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles. Testing and troubleshooting of subassemblies and final assemblies. Collaborate with other Production Technicians and Engineering to correct and improve assembly-related documents. Work with manufacturing engineers to improve assembly efficiency, product quality, reduce manufacturing costs, and validate released assembly/fabrication documentation. Ensure that work order protocols are followed and paperwork is completed during work. Train other technicians on assembly processes when appropriate. Conduct in‑process quality checks to ensure items meet high‑quality standards. Follow established procedures on routine work and seek guidance for new assignments. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment in electronics or electro‑mechanical assembly and test, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience with hand tools (crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools, air tools). Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Ability to solder as part of assembly duties. Good manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail. Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies Vocational training in Electronics or Solder Certification. Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Familiarity with Safety and ESD practices. Work with engineering on new product development where documentation is not finalized. Apply job skills, company policies, and procedures to complete tasks under minimal supervision. Sit for long periods, occasionally stand for short periods. Lift and carry objects between 2lb and 5lb. Use hand, finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and balance. Walk occasionally. Reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear as needed. Have close, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Clearance Level No Clearance. ITAR Requirement U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires access to information subject to ITAR and/or EAR compliance.
