Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Title Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Location Atlanta, GA Schedule / Job Type Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a specialized surgical unit focused on ENT, head and neck, bariatric, and general surgery patients
- Care for patients with tracheostomies and laryngectomies, monitoring for complications and supporting airway management
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for post-surgical patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate safe outcomes
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in accordance with facility protocols
- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license - must be in hand at time of submission
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Demonstrated experience as a surgical RN with skills applicable to ENT, head and neck, bariatric, or general surgery
- Prior experience caring for patients with tracheostomies and/or laryngectomies
- Background in ENT or head and neck surgical nursing
- Experience in a high-acuity or specialty surgical unit setting
- Opportunity to work in a highly specialized surgical environment that expands clinical expertise in ENT and head and neck care
- Contract placement at a well-established acute care facility in a major metropolitan area
