We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented accounting assistant to join our team.Job Description:The accounting assistant will be responsible for processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as performing light business-to-business (B2B) collections. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities will include:Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable in QuickBooksEnsuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactionsCommunicating with clients and vendors regarding payment status and invoicesPerforming light B2B collections and addressing any outstanding balancesReconciling bank and credit card statementsAssisting with the preparation of financial reports for managementProviding administrative support to the accounting department as neededQualifications:Associate's degree in accounting or related field2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in AP/ARStrong understanding of accounting principlesExcellent attention to detailAbility to work independentlyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel and WordFamiliarity with QuickBooks or other accounting softwareKnowledge of B2B collections and customer serviceWe offer a competitive salary, health insurance, paid time off, and other benefits.
