Obstetrics RN Staff Nurse

Position Overview Sign‑On Bonus: Eligible for up to $15,000. An Obstetrics Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is needed at Wilson Medical Center to provide compassionate, high‑quality care to patients and families in a team‑driven environment. Schedule & Compensation • 8‑hour shifts

• Part‑time night rotation
• 24 hours per week
• Per Diem opportunities available

Hourly rate ranges from $40.70 to $61.05 depending on experience. Benefits are available to employees working a regular position of at least 24 scheduled weekly hours. Responsibilities Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a patient group as a primary or accountable nurse. Provide education to patients and families on health promotion and disease management. Utilize pharmacology knowledge and safely administer medications per UHS policy. Share responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization including staffing, time management, supplies, and services. Comply with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies. Participate in and support the Nursing Shared Governance Model, including the Unit Council, improvement initiatives, and peer review practices. Engage in professional development, continuing nursing education, and mandatory education requirements. Integrate nursing research and current evidence into practice. Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. Follow all UHS Values. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education & Experience Minimum: Graduate of an accredited nursing school. Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting. License & Certification Minimum: Current NYS RN License. Preferred: Professional certification in a related nursing specialty. Relevant skill certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) required as per unit assignment.
