Role Description The Finance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Baton Rouge, La responsible for managing all aspects of automotive finance and insurance (F&I) for vehicle purchases. This role structures finance and lease deals, secures approvals from lenders, and presents financing options, protection products, and warranties to customers in a clear and compliant manner. The Finance Manager prepares and reviews all related contracts and documentation for accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely funding. Day to day, this role partners closely with the sales team to finalize deals, monitor deal flow, and support achievement of dealership sales and profitability goals. The Finance Manager also maintains strong relationships with financial institutions, stays current on lending programs and regulations, and supports continuous improvement of F&I processes and customer experience. Qualifications Proficiency in automotive finance and insurance processes, including structuring deals, presenting product options, and managing lender approvals. Strong financial, analytical, and math skills to review credit applications, calculate payments, and ensure accurate contract terms. Knowledge of relevant compliance and regulatory requirements, including lending, privacy, and disclosure standards. Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills to explain complex information clearly and build trust with diverse customers. Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, management, and accounting teams in a fast-paced dealership environment. High attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with dealership software and standard office applications. Previous F&I, finance, banking, or automotive dealership experience strongly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in finance, business, or a related field is a plus.
