Account Manager – Semiconductor IndustryLocation: San Diego, CA (Hybrid)Salary: 130-165K/yearHybrid base: 3 days/week at the officeA small, privately held U.S. subsidiary of a major Japanese semiconductor packaging manufacturer is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our growing team in San Diego, California.This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused and self-driven professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, managing complex programs, and working in a highly technical, global business environment.Position SummaryThe Account Manager will serve as the primary liaison between assigned customers and the company, managing key accounts and coordinating closely with global internal teams. This role requires strong relationship-building abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to understand technical product features and translate them into customer value.The successful candidate will collaborate with sales, engineering, manufacturing, finance, and support teams to develop and execute customer strategies while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and grow relationships with assigned customer accountsServe as the primary point of contact between customers and internal teamsCollaborate with global sales teams to develop and execute account strategiesCoordinate cross-functional activities with engineering, manufacturing, finance, and support departmentsBuild trust with customers and maintain strong long-term relationshipsProfessionally address customer inquiries, concerns, and escalationsSupport program management activities and ensure timely communication and follow-upParticipate in evening meetings as needed to support overseas teams and global operationsQualificationsRequired6–10 years of experience in account management, sales, customer relationship management, or related rolesStrong experience and technical knowledge in Semiconductors, IC assembly, and IC packaging Experience in semiconductor, electronics, manufacturing, or technical industriesStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and customer programs effectivelyStrong customer service mindset and relationship-building capabilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related fieldEngineering degree is a plusAbility to analyze situations logically and identify effective solutionsPreferredExperience working in global or cross-cultural business environmentsJapanese bilingual skills are a big plus, but not requiredWork Environment & BenefitsHybrid schedule: 3 days onsite / 2 days remoteSemiannual bonus programDRA / Profit sharingCommuter transportation benefitsCollaborative global team environmentLong-term career growth opportunitiesWork LocationPrimary preference:San Diego, CA (92121)Additional candidate locations may be considered:San Jose, CAPhoenix, AZAustin, TXCandidates located outside San Diego will be required to relocate to the San Diego area within approximately 6 months.This description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and does not include all responsibilities or qualifications associated with the role.
