Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift

Job Summary The Maintenance position is responsible for keeping the machines running as efficiently as possible in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Essential Functions Comply with safety policies and procedures. Perform a variety of semi‑skilled duties in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, fabrication, mechanical repairs, machine lubrication, painting, and plastering. Maintain, service, and conduct minor repairs on buildings and equipment. Demonstrate knowledge of safety procedures and maintain a safety‑conscious attitude. Exhibit steadiness and dependability. Organize, coordinate, and assist in managing overall maintenance programs including property appearance, timely work‑order service, and cost‑effective inventory control. Assist in all service areas as needed. Under the direction of the Maintenance Superintendent and the production management department, acquire knowledge for equipment maintenance servicing, scheduling, vendor interaction, and related services. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Leadership and facilitation skills. Ability to interact effectively with various levels of the organization. Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Prior experience considered. Ability to conduct oneself accurately, patiently, carefully, responsibly, quickly, and alertly. Commitment to a good attendance record and personal appearance. Self‑starter attitude. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent and training or certification in a relevant skill or trade. 1–2 years’ experience in a relevant field. Physical Requirements / Work Environment Be exposed to temperature extremes inside or out. Operate various assembly, manufacturing, and repair tools. Be able to taste or smell. Position self to maintain equipment, including under equipment and in small spaces. Work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable. Prolonged standing or staying in a stationary position for long periods of time. Perform repetitive movements. Bend or twist. Wear all required personal protective equipment. Lift, move, or transport items up to 75 pounds. Move or traverse inside the site to access machinery. Operate mechanical parts and handle fumes or airborne particles. Possess strong hand‑eye coordination. Have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Maintain sufficient physical reflexes and personal mobility. Operate machinery, set up, handle, or tend to, and modify equipment continuously.
