THIS ROLE WILL BE ONSITE 5 DAYS PER WEEK IN MANHATTAN.

This is somewhat of an HR Assistant role helping to facilitate paperwork etc. but its important that the candidate has some knowledge in HR / Benefits—

For length of assignment we are looking at a few weeks minimum but it could extend to up to a few months until we find a FT person or potentially hire the temp
Have you hired a temp in this role before? – yes when someone was on a LOA for three months
Role is open due to someone resigning
Are there any _ ** MUST **_ _ ** have skills? YES Administration sKills and some benefits Knowledge **_
- What software experience should they have?— ** Possibly UKG, Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)**
- What soft skills are important? ** Communication skills, great interpersonal skills, organizational, clerical and time management skills. **
- How many people on the team/how many end users/who will they report to? The temp will primarily work with the Benefits Manager and the Senior HR Manager
- Preferred experience level (years): 1 year is fine
- Open to industries? Yes
- Degree? College preferred – ** Associates degree or better however if someone has experience with a HS diploma that's fine also **
We are in need of a temp that have had experience in Benefits The primary tasks will include:
- Assisting where needed with HR and Benefit related correspondences
- Create COBRA packets when applicable
- Maintain the Benefits department's electronic filing and record keeping system
- Create Initial Workers compensation, Disability/ PFL Packets using existing templates
- Update Trackers, Leave Trackers, COBRA payment Trackers etc.
- Adhoc task as assigned
- Communicate with Benefits Manager and Sr. HR Manager regarding pending tasks etc.
